MegaChips’ broadband power-line (BPL) solutions are built for speed, range and robustness. They employ the latest broadband technologies to reliably deliver high-speed, bidirectional, IP-based communications over AC and DC powerlines, coax, and twisted-pair.

Two solutions are offered by Megachips. The “Bluechip” product line is based on IEEE1901-2010, while “Gen4-BPL” is based on IEEE1901-2020. Gen4-BPL offers backwards compatibility to its predecessor for interoperability purposes.

For the fastest speeds, system designers should use Bluechip Complete or Gen4-BPL “Streamer”. Both are capable of delivering high-definition video, Internet, and other large streams of data, so they are perfect for your bandwidth-hungry applications.

Designers of large, Industrial IoT (IIoT) networks will benefit from “Multihop”. This innovative technology enables any node to act as a repeater, dramatically increasing communications robustness and range. Based on ITU G.9905 networking protocol for industrial controls, it’s ideal for your large scale infrastructure projects.
